Chandra Taal meaning Moon lake is a crystal clear lake residing between the glorious Himalayan mountains of 
India. The waters of the lake are so clear that you see the bottom of the lake for quite some distance. At an altitude of 4300 meters , this lake has a circumference of more than 4 km. A wonderful location to rejuvenate yourself and recharge yourself by immersing in the lap of Mother Nature.
Area around this lake is a very good place is for hiking and just exploring on your own. There are a few trails, open areas and hills for curious explorers. Due to regulations, all camp sites have to be at least a km away from the lake to preserve it ecosystem. So even though campsite may have a few people, the lakeside mostly stays peaceful and quiet. You can hike to the lake or walk to the shore. We provide you with camping facilities as well as numerous opportunities for hiking near lake and to a bit further off places like Samudri Tapu glacier. We have options ranging from tents for rent, to paid use of the camp site, ample parking, unlimited chai, bottled water and assistance with transport and trekking. More so, we offer best and cost effective services. Food available in campsite is mostly simple, easy to digest vegetarian fare. Non-vegetarian food may be available sometimes depending upon availability and preference of visitors.
Please keep in mind that Chandrataal lake along with most of Lahaul Spiti is a wilderness area and visitors are requested to take back all the rubbish with them instead of leaving it in the region. Your help in keeping this region clean and pristine is highly appreciated.
